Issues over expansion of efficient cooperation between RA provinces and Russian Primorsky Krai discussed

YEREVAN, MARCH 24, ARMENPRESS: Armenian Ambassador to Russia Oleg Yesayan met today in Vladivostok with Governor of Primorsky Krai Segey Darkin. During the meeting the parties discussed issues on expanding of the efficient cooperation between the region and Armenian provinces.
Press service of the Armenian Foreign Affairs Ministry told Armenpress that Ambassador Yesayan noted at the meeting with the mayor that the close ties between Primorsky Krai and Armenian provinces will contribute to creation of new opportunities and of a new format of economic cooperation.
The ambassador pointed out the necessity of implementation of bilateral investment programs both in economic, joint entrepreneurial and humanitarian spheres. Sergey Darkin in his turn presented to ambassador Yesayan the programs directed toward the social-economic development of the region and development of the infrastructures.
It was also noted that the region actively cooperates with over 90 countries of the Near and Far East. The commodity turnover has increased by 1, 7% in 2010 compared with 2009, reaching 5, 5 million USD. Armenia’s lot is 1%. On this occasion the parties expressed readiness to contribute to expansion of the commercial and economic cooperation.
Governor Darkin noted that the Armenian community together with other communities participates in various initiatives – festivals, expos and public forums.
