Ruben Khlghatyan Reelected Mayor of Armavir

YEREVAN, MARCH 21, ARMENPRESS: In the result of March 20 elections, Ruben Khlghatyan was reelected mayor of the city of Armavir.

An official from the Central Electoral Commission told Armenpress that 14 164 citizens partook in the elections. Ruben Khlghatyan had 6849 votes, Sevak Minasyan had 5811 votes, Arnak Gevorgyan had 710 votes, and Karen Vardanyan – 330 votes. Sevak Minasyan stated that the elections were falsified. He said he intends to appeal to court against the activity of local electoral commissions.
