Holiday of Armenian-French friendship in Gyumri

GYUMRI, MARCH 18, ARMENPRESS: Within the framework of the Francophonie Days a holiday of Armenian-French friendship will be conducted March 19-24 in Gyumri. The events will start by a parade from Charles Aznavour Square to Vardanants Square.
Press officer of Gyumri municipality Lilit Aghekyan told Armenpress that mayor Vardan Ghukasyan will receive the guests, after which the opening ceremony of the celebration will be held in Vardananats Square.
The same day an exhibition will be held in the Park of Cross-stones, and later in V. Achemyan Dramatic Theater – an Armenian French joint concert.
During those days literary evenings, showing of films, intellectual games will be organized. There will be events dedicated o Francophonie Days not only in the Dramatic Theater, in “October” cinema, Central Square, but in all French speaking schools and universities. The closing of the events is intended March 24 in “October” cinema.
“At the moment everything is done to host a great number of guests in the town. The flags of Armenia and France are fastened in central streets. Control is taken in the direction of keeping the cleanness of the town.
