Tatev rope way serves 50-80 passengers daily

GORIS, MARCH 18, ARMENPRESS: From March 1 “Tatev Wings” rope way started working with everyday schedule from 10.30 am till 4.30 pm. Stemming from unfavorable weather conditions in winter period it worked only on Saturdays and Sundays. The manager of the rope-way Tigran Ghazaryan told Armenpress that in the running month the number of visitors increased.

Currently the rope-way has 50-80 passengers daily. The 30% of them are the residents of nearby six villages who are using the rope-way for free. The 70% of passengers are tourists. Each tram-wagon has its guide who presents the history of Tatev monastery, the rope-way, answers to their questions. The construction works in Tatev rope-way has not finished yet.

From exploitation till now the rope way had 10 000 passengers.
