Syunik roads closed

KAPAN, FEBRUARY 16, ARMENPRESS: The heavy snow continues in the whole territory of the Armenian province of Syunik accompanied with storm, strong wind and fog. Arthur Harutyunyan, head of the Syunik provincial rescue service, told Armenpress that as of 1 pm the Sisian-Yeghgnadzor, Meghri mountain pass sectors of the Yerevan-Meghri inter-state road are closed. The precipitations are so much that there is no visibility at all, and the snow cleaning engines are hardly working.

Goris-Lachin highway is closed for traffic. Almost all the roads of provincial and community significance of the province are closed. Tens of cars are blocked in Kajaran and Goris.
