Meghri and Agarak to have gas

KAPAN, JANUARY 24, ARMENPRESS: The Syunik branch of “Armrusgasprom” company has 12 500 consumers. The director of the branch Arthur Khachatryan told Armenpress that no cases of refusing from gas has been registered in the province because of growth of the gas tariff but the warm winter gave an opportunity to reduce the volume of the used gas.

This year the works on connecting the houses of Syunik to the gas network will continue. The agreements for Meghri and Agarak towns have already been formed, the projects are in process. As far as the number of possible gas consumers in Meghri region is small, “Armrusgasprom” considers it purposeless to finance the programs. They will be brought to life with the co-financing of IFAD and state budget.
