KAPAN, DECEMBER 8, ARMENPRESS: For already the third day the Syunik firefighters are fighting against fires in the highest mountainous zone of the Kapan region – in the territory of Khustup Mountain. Head of the provincial rescue department Arthur Harutyunyan told Armenpress that today in the morning the firefighters departed for the site and are trying to extinguish the fire. Farmers of the region are helping the firefighters, in case of necessity the residents of nearby villages will be involved in works. A. Harutyunyan did not exclude that the reason of fire may be carelessness of people and it is spread because of dry and warm weather. Or may be it is done on purpose by hunt robbers to easily catch the hunted animal in trap. Yesterday fires were registered in the border regions of Sisian, village of Sarnakunk, etc.
