Sports Center to be built on Shore of Lake Sevan

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 2, ARMENPRESS: The Government of Armenia approved the concept on establishment of an upland sports center on the shore of Lake Sevan at today’s session.

RA Economy Minister Nerses Yeritsyan said that the main goal of the concept is to build a unique upland sports complex, which will correspond to the international standards. The sports center is intended to be supplied with up-to-date sports equipments and to provide high-quality sports, healthcare and tourism services.

It is also intended that the sports complex will have trade pavilions, which will sell high-quality products. The complex is expected to serve as an Olympic base for Armenian sportsmen.

Minister Nerses Yeritsyan says new jobs will open and the local social-economic development will be promoted by the establishment of the complex. He added that talks were conducted with the German ‘Ersam & Gottwald GbR’ company in the direction of implementation of works for involving investments.
