MEGHRI, NOVEMBER 19, ARMENPRESS: Agarak and Meghri towns will be ensured with gasification in 2011 with the support of International Foundation of Agricultural Development (IFAD). The planning-estimation works are already implemented. Gas will be reached Meghri from Iran-Armenia gas pipeline passing by Vahravar village. The issue has easier solution in Agarak – the pipeline passes by the administrative territory of the town.
The mayors of Meghri and Agarak told Armenpress that before gasification this year, too, the heating issue will be solved like the previous years, In particular, Meghri School N 2 has an own boiling house and is heated by diesel fuel. School N1 and the kindergarten of the town are heated in a traditional way – by firewood. This issue is solved by parents.
The educational establishments of Agarak are heated by electric energy, which, besides being expensive, does not provide normal temperature for clasroooms.
