KAPAN, NOVEMBER 11, ARMENPRESS: Free medical examination for the residents is underway in the Armenian province of Syunik at the initiative of “Gagik Tsarukyan” Foundation and “Prosperous Armenia” party. Sixteen leading specialists of “Erebuni” medical center are in province from November 9 receiving patients in Agarak, Meghri and Kapan towns. Today the initiative will be conducted in Goris, November 12 – on the last day – in Sisian.
The selection of doctors-specialists was made taking into consideration the most spread diseases in the province. Besides passing examination, receiving consultation and getting necessary medicine, some patients are being sent to the capital to pass full examination.
Arthur Rostomyan, director of the center, said that the initiative launched from Syunik as it is the farthest from the capital. After summing up the results of the visit the organizers planned to create surgical brigades which will be sent to the province and make operations on the site. Rostomyan said this initiative will be of periodical nature in Syunik.
