ETCHMIADZIN, OCTOBER 13, ARMENPRESS: The members of the National Social Apartment Association were hosted October 12 at Tavush governor office. Director of the Social Apartment Fund Ara Nazinyan noted that the association is an Armenian-Dutch newly-established structure, which has a goal to promote the development process of apartments in the republic. The members of the council were hosted by Deputy Governor of Tavush Levon Sargsyan, who presented information of dwelling construction process in the province, made the guests acquainted with the structure and issues of the apartment fund of the province.
According to him, the province apartment fund badly suffered after the 1988 earthquake and bombardment during the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict. Though the apartment issues of the people suffered from the earthquake and war activities have been mainly solved with the support of the state and Defense Ministry, there are still people who need apartments.
Presenting their activity, representatives of the Dutch party Henq Vestran ad Peter Korzelius noted that such apartments will be experimentally founded first in Tavush province. They expressed hope that the results will be satisfying. It was noted that the place of the first preliminary program has been already chosen – Dilijan town, with which a cooperation agreement has been signed.
