Duplicates of Jugha cross-stones to be placed in Gyumri

GYUMRI, OCTOBER 11, ARMENPRESS: The duplicates of the Jugha cross-stones will be placed in Gyumri on the initiative of Gyumri Mayor Vardan Ghukasyan. The works are already in process: the cross-stones will be sculpted by Gyumri sculptors.

The cross-stones will be placed in the hinder part of All Savor’s Church, Gyumri. The territory will in future be named a Park of Cross-stones. The duplicated cross-stones will not differ from the originals, will have the same look, size and will be sculpted from the same type of stone. “Masters will sculpt them with great accuracy. The process will be of continuous nature,” the mayor told Armenpress. Twenty cross-stones are intended to sculpt and place till the Day of Gyumri; the others will be ready later.
