Tree planting works in Syunik

KAPAN, OCTOBER 6, ARMENPRESS: Large-scale tree planting works have been implemented this year in Syunik with the support of the governor office. Kajik Khachatryan, head of the Agriculture and Nature Protection Department of the governor office, told Armenpress that to provide biodiversity and stable development 7200 eastern platans and 1200 Greek walnut-trees have been planted.

For protecting roads against land-sliding, as well as for purpose of green-covering 2 thousand walnut trees were planted last year along Kapan-Kajaran road. Garden of 2, 5 hectares has been planted in the neighboring territory of Kapan town. The planting process is going on.
