Labor fair to be conducted September 8 in Gyumri

YEREVAN, AUGUST 24, ARMENPRESS: A labor fair will be conducted September 8 in Gyumri town of Shirak province on the initiative of the “State Employment Service” agency of the Armenian Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs. Head of the job consultation and information department of the agency Tsoghik Bezhanyan told Armenpress that about 35 employers will participate in the fair, who will present vacancies of the spheres of production, trade, supply, etc.

“Suchlike events are fine opportunity both for an employer and job seeker. The experience shows that organization of labor fairs is quite efficient,” Mrs. Bezhanyan said. During this year’s fairs 68 people found job in Gavar, and in Vanadzor - 41 people.

The goal of the fair is the meeting of job seekers with employers who propose vacancies, to get acquainted with unemployment programs intended for unemployed people, and to give to employers an opportunity to find specialists with relevant skills. Mrs. Bezhanyan said that labor fairs contribute to economic development of a province, as well as are a means to activate employer-“State Employment Service” cooperation, on which the labor market makes a profit.
