Next Summer Seminars of Art Curators Held in Ijevan

YEREVAN, AUGUST 19, ARMENPRESS: Art curators’ next summer seminars, which kicked off August 15 in Ijevan, will end today. The general thematic spectrum of the fifth summer seminar is the presentation of community art. The program of the seminar is comprised of everyday lectures, discussions and presentations.
Nazaret Karoyan, art curator, chairman of the Art Curators Association, informed Armenpress that the presentations, organized within the frames of the seminars, will end today. He added that a roundtable discussion on art exchanges between Europe and Caucasus will be held August 20.
The seminar unites art curators, operating in various spheres, via lectures, workshops, presentations, visits to art areas and other events.
‘There are a slew of issues in the practice of curators and we made an attempt to discuss those issues and find solutions,’ Nazaret Karoyan said. He added that the initiative is aimed at making the arts a means of environment creation.
The annual project of summer seminars of the Art Curators Association is being held in association with SCCA-Ljubljana, SCCA-ALMA-Aty, Istanbul’s ‘BM Suma’ center, Cairo’s ‘Townhouse’ gallery.
A number of representatives from 17 states partook in the seminars.
