YEREVAN, AUGUST 17, ARMENPRESS: State-funded labor fair, organized upon the initiative of the state labor service of RA labor and social affairs ministry, will be held August 18 in Ijevan, province of Tavush. An official from RA state labor service told Armenpress that the fair is aimed at suggesting job seekers to meet with employers, get acquainted with labor projects for the unemployed, as well giving employers an opportunity to find specialists with corresponding skills.
The labor fair has a great significance for the economic development of the province. Being a fine means of advertisement it may cause interest among investors and increase the possibility of investments in that area.
It is also a means of making the employer-employee collaboration more active. If a job seeker does not find corresponding job during the fair, he can just establish ties with various employers, be informed about forthcoming vacancies, get acquainted with requirements of employers and reconsider their qualifications. 6 labor fairs were held 2009 in various cities of the Republic – Vanadzor, Artashat, Gyumri, Dilijan, Kapan, Hrazdan. 220 employers and 10 750 job seekers partook in them.
