Information base on children to be designed in Lori province

VANADZOR, AUGUST 17, ARMENPRESS: The Department for Defense of Rights of Family, Women and Children of Lori governor office will hereafter implement more expansive activity, referring to issues on defense of women’s rights, trafficking and family violence. Head of the mentioned department Narek Sargsyan told Armenpress that workshops are intended, during which the community will first of all be informed about that, the employees of the department will be committed to be present at all the court sittings concerning children.

The information base on all the children living in the province will be designed in the department. And the information on children with hard behavior will be constantly replenished by the information provided by educational and medical establishments and social services.

N. Sargsyan said more serious attention will be paid to the issue on children with no birth certificates. Nearly 45 children in Lori province do not have birth certificates. All these issues are involved in the regulation of the department, which has become possible by the funding of the UNICEF.

According to the corresponding decision of the government, Children’s Rights Defense Departments of the governor offices have been renamed after Departments for Defense of Rights of Family, Women and Children.
