Works on study and preservation of historical-cultural monuments in Lori province

VANADZOR, AUGUST 11, ARMENPRESS: Study and preservation works of historical-cultural monuments are being implemented in the province of Lori. Three thousand 45 similar monuments are calculated in the province. Among them Haghpat and Sanahin monastic complexes are involved in the world heritage list of the UNESCO. Nineteen monuments are handed to the Mother See of Holy Echmiadzin.

An official from the governor office told Armenpress that on the decision of the Armenian government, “Lore Berd” reserve is intended to establish in Lore Berd community of the province. Currently the reconstruction works of Bgavor Church of Akor village are being implemented, and in 2011 a similar process is intended in Hnevank and Kobayravank, where works on preservation of wall paintings and renovation are still in implementation process.
