YEREVAN, AUGUST 6, ARMENPRESS: RA vice Prime Minister, Territorial Administration Minister Armen Gevorgyan visited today the province of Vayots Dzor. An official from the PR office of RA Territorial Administration Ministry told Armenpress that the current activities of the Governor’s Office and the primary issues of the province and the process of agricultural works were discussed during the working consultation, in which the Governor’s Office took an active part.
It is intended that over 3500 tons of grape will be raped in the province this year. The vice Prime Minister was represented the process of preparation works for grape purveyance and was informed that corresponding arrangements for the purveyance have already been reached. The Territorial Administration Minister underscored the importance of the fair price for grape purveyance and gave an assignment to Governor Sergey Bagratyan to undertake corresponding works with villagers and heads of companies of water users in the direction of collecting the payments for irrigation in time and wholly.
During the consultation the process of collecting the own revenue of communities was discussed as well.
Afterwards the vice Prime Minister visited the territory, adjacent to Paskevich bridge of Vayq city and got acquainted with the details of the initiative of creating a specialized agro-tourism complex. The project will be aimed at developing of tourism in the province of Vayots Dzor, providing employment for local people and promoting the realization of the local agricultural goods. The authors of the project told Armen Gevorgyan that the existence of favorable conditions, the fact that the territory is adjacent to the city, as well as other conditions were taken into account when choosing a territory for the complex. The complex is intended to be constructed with ecologically pure materials. It will operate with sun energy. The project will be presented to RA Government for approval in the near future. Afterwards a tender will be announced for selecting the company, which will implement the project.
RA vice Prime Minister, Territorial Administration Minister Armen Gevorgyan visited the Municipality of Vayq. A variety of issues on implementation of the project of the complex were discussed during the consultation, held at the Municipality. The issues of reconstructing the cultural center and stadium of the city, as well as improving of water irrigation system in several districts were touched upon as well.
