Chief of RA Police Alik Sargsyan Visits Province of Vayots Dzor

YEREVAN, AUGUST 6, ARMENPRESS: Within the framework of the provincial visits, Alik Sargsyan, chief of RA police, lieutenant-general to RA police, paid a visit August 5 to the province of Vayots Dzor and had meetings in the police offices of Yeghegnadzor, Vayk and Jermuk.

In the police office of Yeghegnadzor Mr. Alik Sargsyan presented the new head to the personnel and, at the same time, analyzed the reasons the former head of the police office was dismissed.

An official from the press and PR department of RA Police told Armenpress that during the consultations, held in the police offices of the province, Mr. Alik Sargsyan spoke on the unsatisfying results of the fight of the provincial police offices against crime. He stressed the reasons and gave concrete assignments to the heads of the police offices and the provincial department for improving the moral-psychological atmosphere of the provincial police staff, for raising the efficiency of revealing crimes, restoring the best traditions of the police and solving a number of other issues.

Alik Sargsyan presented the process of reforms, started in RA Police, and said he is sure that the implementation of the project will secure favorable social and labor conditions for the servicemen of the police system and will ensure a more effective operation. He said he requires from the policemen to focus on the settlement of the primary issue – raising the authority of each policeman and the police, support the citizens, have a proper attitude toward the behavior of a police serviceman and endeavor to ensure security of citizens and guard the civil order.

The delegation, headed by Alik Sargsyan, chief of RA police, lieutenant-general to RA police, returned to Yerevan the same day.
