Architectural outline of Gyumri technopark presented

GYUMRI, JULY 28, ARMENPRESS: The architectural outline of the Gyumri technopark was presented today in Gyumri. In the contest announced by the Armenian Economy Ministry the variant designed by “Armproject” OJSC was approved. The authors of the plan are architects Mher Cherqezyan and Sashur Kalashyan.

By presenting the outline, S. Kalashyan noted that it has been designed on the basis of the contract of April 6, 2010 with Gyumri Economic Development Foundation, and as a basis for the architectural idea the 2008 concept of the Armenian government on rearranging Gyumri town into a techo town served.

“The goal of the given outline is to present the technopark as a unique urban development environment, where there are all the conditions and opportunities for the cultural, business and scientific spheres of the community for manifesting the potential and initiatives, for forming and realizing them,” S. Kalashyan noted.

According to the plan, it will occupy the former territory of “Polytechnic” university based in the north part of Gyumri. The overall surface of the complex is 55 hectares.
