The 5th Circle of Excavations Kick Off in Areni Village

YEREVAN, JUNE 28, ARMENPRESS: The research group, consisted of Armenian, Irish and US archeologists, started today the fifth circle of the excavations in Areni village, province of Vayots Dzor. Head of the research group Boris Gasparyan told Armenpress that the 5th circle will last till September.

The international press does not stop detailing on the 5500-year-old leather shoes, found in a cave in Areni. On the other hand, the archeologists continue the excavations and expect to reveal new sensational findings.
