Triumphal Arch at the Entrance of Gyumri

GYUMRI, JUNE 22, ARMENPRESS: This year Gyumri’s fountains will be repaired. A triumphal arch is also intended to place at the entrance of the town, for planning and construction of which financial means will be extended from the community budget. The triumphal arch will symbolize the Armenian-Russian friendship and the triumphant spirit of Gyumri people.

Chief Architect of Gyumri Henrik Gasparyan told Armenpress that works are already being carried out in the direction of planning of the arch and the drafts will be submitted to the discussion of the urban development council within the upcoming 10 days, after which the arch will be constructed on the basis of the best project.

“The urban development council subordinated to the municipality, adopted a decision after quite serious discussions that it will be placed next to the entrance. The urban budget will extend the necessary sum of money for those works,” H. Gasparyan said.
