“Zero Poverty” Campaign in Gavar

GAVAR, MAY 24, ARMENPRESS: “Armenian Caritas” charitable organization implements a number of charitable initiatives and programs in Armenia. Within the frameworks of its mission an action of candle lighting was conducted simultaneously in 4 towns of Armenia – in Gavar, Yerevan, Gyumri and Vanadzor, which called to eliminate the poverty and social isolation.

“Zero Campaign” is undertaken by the European institutions of “Caritas”, which wish to make changes improving the life and facilitating the social state of people. The initiative was directed toward the social justice. The volunteers of “Armenian Caritas”, representatives of the Armenian Chamber of Trade and Commerce, students and residents of the town partook in the campaign in Gavar. The ceremony of candle lighting was implemented in the central square of Gavar.
