The delegation of Orenburg visits Armenian province of Ararat

ARTASHAT, MAY 21, ARMENPRESS: The delegation of Orenburg headed by the governor of the province Alexey Chernishov visited today Armenian province of Ararat. The governor of the province Vardges Hovakimyan welcomed the delegation. Consultant to the governor presented to the guests the history and culture of the province.

Chernishov noted that 119 nations are living in Orenburg 10 500 of which are Armenians. He presented the industry of Orenburg noting that the country is rich in oil, gas, color and black metals. He pointed out that the further cooperation with Armenia and particularly Ararat province, will promote the further rapprochement of ties between Armenian and Russian peoples.

He pointed out that at the meeting with the President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan the latter was very much interested in wheat.

V. Hovakimyan said that from the province to Russia wine, brandy, tomato paste are exported. Afterwards the guests visited Avshar wine factory. The guests toured in laboratories. Bilateral contract has been signed between Ararat and Orenburg provinces.
