VANADZOR, APRIL 13, ARMENPRESS: “National Library Week” ceremonially kicked off today in Lori Province Library.
Coordinator of the computer department of the library Andranik Hovhannisyan presented the newly opened webpage of Lori Province Library, which affords numerous additional opportunities to readers and visitors of the library. A number of events will be conducted April 12-19 within the frameworks of the week entitled “A Glance at Rural Libraries”.
A Day of Mother Language will be organized, which will include a contest of compositions written by pupils, an outgoing watching of “Virtual Hermitage” film at Vanadzor Art School after S. Aghajanyan. On April 14 a day performance dedicated to the 125th anniversary of Vahan Teryan will be conducted, and April 15 is declared a day of donation of books to the rural libraries of the province of Lori. An event dedicated to the 175th anniversary of Raffi, as well as a book exhibition entitled “The great Ideologist of Armenian National-Liberation Fight” will be conducted on April 16 at Lori Province Library.
Members of the Armenian National Assembly Victor Dallakyan and Karen Saribekyan will be invited at the upcoming round table, with who the issues of rural libraries will be discussed. Within the frameworks of “National Library Week” April 18 is declared a Day of Book Donation, and it will be summed up at Lori Province Library the next day.
