KAPAN, APRIL 7, ARMENPRESS: From September of the running year repair works will start in 10-17th century Spitak Khachi Aghbyur or Tandzaparakhi Anapat monastic complex located in a wood to 2, 5 km from Kapan’s Bekh distict. Syunik province service of Historical Environment Protection has applied to “Country-Culture” French organization with such a proposal.
Head of the service Astghik Hakobyan told Armenpress that the 13 trees grown on the roof of the church which present a danger for the construction are intended to cut down. Afterward the further growth of the roots of the trees will be prevented, as well as renovation works will be carried out.
Syunik province service of the Historical Environment Protection has applied to “Country-Culture” organization with another proposal, too, which is to repair the 18th century bridge of Darbas village of Sisian. Conditioned by restricted finances, the reconstruction works will start here from the next year.
