The school in Akhuryan district named after Nikol Aghbalyan reopens

GYUMRY, APRIL 6, ARMENPRESS: After the construction of a new subsidiary building and thorough reconstruction, the only school in Akhuryan district named after Nikol Aghbalyan reopened today. The school was built 1991 in assistance with FAR. Gyumri-based Swiss citizen, constructor Leonardo Gmuer took the initiative of reconstructing the school and constructing there a boiler-house. After the latter’s death the ‘KASA’ Swiss Humanitarian Foundation took the initiative of continuing the project. RA Government financed the project as well and provided over 244 million AMD for the construction of a new subsidiary building in the school.
