Ijevan’s “Narek” receives the title of “The Best Theater Group-2009”

IJEVAN, MARCH 24, ARMENPRESS: The title of “The Best Theatrical Group-2009” was given to Ijevan’s “Narek” puppet theater group by the Armenian Center of International Union of Puppet Figures.

Head of the “Narek” theater group Shushanik Davtyan told Armenpress that the award - “Karapet” doll of the Union of Puppet Figures, a medal and a certificate were handed on March 22 in Hovh. Tumanyan State Puppet Theater, during an event dedicated to the International Day of Puppet Figures.

“Narek” puppet theater group has been operating already for 4 years. According to Sh. Davtyan, it has staged nearly 10 performances, has participated for 4 times in “Tumanyan’s Fairytale Day” annual festival organized in Dsegh, has come forward in different provinces of Armenia. “Narek” is also an award-winner of “the Best Scenario”.
