Kapan’s Sunday school subordinated to St. Mesrop Mastots Church to continue operating with support of OSCE

KAPAN, MARCH 23, ARMENPRESS: OSCE has taken care for the one-year uninterrupted work of Kapan’s Sunday school subordinated to St. Mesrop Mashtots Church. Within the frameworks of the implemented program, the financial means of which have been accumulated as a result of the exhibition-fair of the handmade works of children in Vienna and a donation, computer desk with chairs, 4 computers and internet connection have been provided to the school. The salaries of the six teachers will be paid as well. Nature protection and computer classed will be added to the subjects of painting, embroidery and history of religion.
Karen Arzumanyan, assistant to the director of the OSCE province office for implementation of Syunik programs told Armenpress that the implementation of the program has been assigned to “Resource Center of Kapan’s Women”.
Kapan’s Sunday school has operated since 2009. Its goal is to display support to children from socially insecure families, to involve them in spiritual upbringing. The school has started operating with the support of Zangezur’s copper-molybdenum factory. It has been closed for some period of time because of restricted means.
