YEREVAN, MARCH 19, ARMENPRESS: RA vice Prime Minister, Territorial Administration Minister Armen Gevorgyan, accompanied with the governor of the Armenian province of Kotayk Kovalenko Shahgeldyan, visited today the province, got acquainted with the construction works of the Marmarik water reservoir carried out within the framework of the World Bank’s Reservoir Security Program.
The construction works of the reservoir kicked off in 2006 and are planned to be finished by September this year. Currently about the 80% of the work has been done. The reservoir will have an opportunity to gather 24 million cubic meters of water which will allow to irrigate about 1200 ha territory.
Press service of the Ministry told Armenpress that A. Gevorgyan called on the heads of the construction organizations to carry out the works with quality and in the established period of time.
