ARTASHAT, FEBRUARY 25, ARMENPRESS: Eleven small and medium-sized new enterprises were established in 2009 in Artashat, Ararat and Masis towns of Ararat province and in rural communities. They mainly produce products of cultural, domestic and economic significance.
Hrayr Hakobyan, head of the Development Programs’ and Analysis Department of the working staff of Ararat governor office told Armenpress that 4 enterprises have been established, which are engaged in the production of travertine and sand. Fish-breeding factories and small and a medium-sized workshops of fruit drying have been constructed, the productive capabilities of “Masis-Tobacco” and conserves of Artashat have been extended.
H. Hakobyan also noted that 93 vacancies have been created in the industrial enterprises opened and extended in 2009. The monthly average salary of an employee in 2009 was 80 thousand 900 Drams against the 74 thousand 500 of 2008.
