Seven provinces connected to the main gas pipeline in 2009 in the Ararat province

ARTASHAT, FEBRUARY 17, ARMENPRESS: In 2009 the number of the communities in Ararat province connected to the main gas pipeline has grown by 7. The number of the communities connected to the main gas pipeline together with the villages of Hovtashen, Araksavan, Bardzrashen, Urtsalanj, Jrashen, Lusarat and Sipanik has become 81. The number of families making use of the natural gas is 37 thousand 570.

Chief Specialist of the Urban Development Department of the board of the Ararat governor office Yeprem Hakobyan told Armenpress that in 2003 the number of the settlements connected to the main gas pipeline was 52, and the number of subscribers – 18 thousand 789. The number of the communities in the province which are not connected to the main gas pipeline is 16 at the moment.

The investment of “ArmRusgasprom” CJSC in 2004-2009s in the province has made 1, 65 billion Drams. In the recent 5 years notable amounts of money have been provided from community budgets as well – about 761, 32 million AMD.

This year construction works of the inner system of Jrashen community are intended to implement. Today the community has about 450 entrepreneurs, from which only the 20 make use of the natural gas. According to Y. Hakobyan, the planning-estimate documents have already been designed. One hundred ten million Drams is necessary to invest, the community investment of which is intended to be 30 million.

The gasification works of Ranchpar and Arbat communities are involved in 2011-2014 development program of Ararat province.
