Armenian vice prime minister participates in the board session of the Gegharkunik province

GAVAR, FEBRUARY 12, ARMENPRESS: Session of the Board of the Armenian province of Gegharkunik took place today in the Gegharkunik province with the participation of the Armenian vice prime minister, Territorial Administartion Minister Armen Gevorgyan. The agenda included three issues – the report of the governor of the province on the 2009 activity, social-economic situation of the province, relative analyses of the 2010 community budgets’ calculative indexes against 2009.
Nver Poghosyan, governor of the province, presented the report on the 2009 activity. Referring to the economic sphere of the province the governor noted that during the year economic progress has been registered. He expressed hope that progress will be maintained during the running year too.
After the report the vice prime minister noted that hence according to the approved regulation the territorial administration minister will participate in at least 2 sessions of governor’s board in spring and autumn months. Armen Gevorgyan praised the effective work of the governor of Gegharkunik and heads of local self-governmental bodies.
The minister also referred to the issues of Sevan Lake, highlighting the importance of making right maps.
