“Asian Development Bank” to invest 1 billion 938 million AMD for road construction in Gegharkunik

GAVAR, JANUARY 27, ARMENPRESS: “Asian Development Bank” will invest 1 billion 938 million AMD in the sphere of road construction of the province of Gegharkunik.

Head of the working staff of Transport and Road Construction Department Gevorg Khachatryan told Armenpress that the road construction works will be continued at the expense of the invested money in the directions of Khachaghbyur-Geghakar, Shatjrek-Gheghamabak, Shatvan-Jaghatzadzor, Vardenis-Shatvani crossings. A road of 13.4 km length will be repaired within the frameworks of the above mentioned money.

Road construction works will be implemented in the province by other programs as well. The works on lifting the section of Lchashen of Sevan-Gavar highway will be continued by the means of the state budget. The inner-community road leading to the municipality of Chambarak will be repaired, funded by the program of “Economic Development of Rural Areas”, and by the funding of the World Bank a number of rural roads will be repaired.
