GYUMRI, JANUARY 25, ARMENPRESS: One billion 40 million AMD is intended to extend from 2010 state budget for the implementation of urban development programs in the province of Shirak. The relevant financial means intended for the implementation of the dwelling construction in Mush 2 and Ani districts of Gyumri by “Glendale hills” organization on the order of the Armenian government, as well as for the implementation of the programs on the order of other ministries, are not included in this sum of money. Last year 1 billion 800 million AMD was extended to the province for implementing urban development programs.
The schools of Akhurik and Vardaqar will be constructed this year within the frameworks of the intended money, 6 other province schools will be repaired as well. The construction of Gyumri architectural college, Institute of Geophysics and Shirak governor office will be continued.
Head of the Urban Development Department of Shirak Governor Office Albert Margaryan told Armenpress that besides the programs intended to be implemented by state means works will be carried out in the province by the Social Investment Fund and “Lins” Foundation as well. The schools of Arevshat, Saratak and Nor Kyank communities of the province will be repaired with the support of the latter, and the cultural houses of Lanjik and Amasia, as well as the school of Gogahovit – by the means of the Social Investment Fund. Akhuryan-Jrarat road will be repaired through the loan means of the World Bank.
