IJEVAN, JANUARY 21, ARMENPRESS: A wide cooperation is intended to be established between the province of Tavush and the towns of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic till 2010. Press service of Tavush Governor Office told Armenpress that an initial agreement was achieved over it during the end of the previous year within the framework of the visit of the delegation headed by Tavush Governor Armen Ghularyan to Artsakh.
Members of the Armenian National Assembly Michael Vardanyan, Hakob Hakobyan, Dilijan Mayor Armen Santrosyan, Executive Director of “Masis Tobacco” CJSC Hovhannes Tadevosyan and a group of doctors were involved in the delegation.
During the visit, which was organized within the frameworks of the cooperation with NKR region of Martakert, the guests paid a visit to Stepanakert, met with NKR Prime Minister Ara Harutyunyan. The issue on establishing friendly relations between the towns of Shushi and Dilijan was discussed.
Afterward President of Nagorno Karabakh Republic Bako Sahakyan received the Armenian delegation in his residence. NKR President and Tavush Governor discussed issues concerning the development of the mutual cooperation. Particularly, concrete realistic programs and measures were decided to initiate from 2010 for its realization.
The series of events planned in Stepanakert wrapped up by a visit paid to the exhibition dedicated to the 90th anniversary of “Armenpress” news agency. The next place where the delegation stopped was the town of Martakert. The Armenian delegation did not visit its friends empty-handed; numerous presents were donated to the administrative board of the region, schools and hospitals; computers, child clothes, toys and sweets.
The group of doctors involved in the delegation received about 100 visitors. “For getting acquainted with the construction works of the point for receiving and drying the cigarettes of “Masis Tobacco” a visit was paid to Ivanyan village of the region of Askeran. On the way back to Armenia the working team also visited Goris, where they discussed with Syunik Governor Suren Khachatryan the possibilities of establishing friendly ties between Dilijan and Goris.
