ARTASHAT, JANUARY 12, ARMENPRESS: At the session of the province council summoned today in Ararat governor office, assignments were given to the mayors and governors in the direction of the province development program 2014. According to Governor Vardges Hovakimyan and Deputy Governor Samvel Minasyan, it is necessary to involve in the program intended for the upcoming 4 years comparatively primary and global issues, as well as initiatives promoting the province development. They noted that there is no need to get afraid of large-scaled and extensive works, and it is necessary to pay attention to their priority. According to V. Hovakimyan, this year the process of the construction of the province exit, as well as of the tomb of the President of the Union of Land Defender-Volunteers of Artashat region, Deputy Colonel of the reserve Laert Saghatelyan are among the primary issues. The governor expressed gratitude to the community governors for the efficient cooperation of the previous year, as well as for the effective activity extended in the communities of the province. According to him, construction of 342 million Drams has been implemented in Ararat province; this year’s grant makes 583 million AMD. V. Hovakimyan added that during the discussion held January 8 in Tsakhkadzor Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan assessed the works of the province as sufficient, and Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Territorial Administration Armen Gevorgyan – as excellent.
