A lorry loaded with medicine, telescope and tents fell into Debed

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 25, ARMENPRESS: On December 24 a lorry fell into the River Debed around the town of Akhtala. Media and Information Department of Armenian Rescue Service of the Armenian Emergency Situations told Armenpress that the rescue brigade of the Rescue Department of Lori province has left for the place of the accident. According to the initial data, in the 5th km of Akhtala-Alaverdi highway, still in non-clarified circumstances, a lorry loaded with medicine, telescopes and tents has come out from the trafficable part of the road and fell into the river. The driver of the car, Spaykov Georgi Georgiev, citizen of Bulgaria, born in 1970, received body injuries of different degrees and was moved to the hospital of Alaverdi. According to the assessment of the doctors, the driver’s life is not under the danger. The Armenian Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Nature Protection have been informed about the accident. The medicine has been taken out from the car through the joint efforts of the operative group of the Rescue Service of Lori province and the staff of the Tumanyan Special Rescue Brigade. The part of the medicine has been moved to the offshore area.
