58 HEALTH INSTITUTIONS FORMED AS A RESULT OF OPTIMALIZATION IN ARMAVIR PROVINCE

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 23, ARMENPRESS:As a result of optimalization works in the health sphere of the Armenian province of Armavir 58 health organizations have been formed of which 8 are functioning in affiliation with the governor’s office and 50 are affiliated to communities. Governor of Armavir Ashot Ghahramian told today at a press conference that with the means of the credit provided by the World Bank 21 village ambulatories have already been repaired, another 22 need to be reconstructed and re-equipped. After the reconstruction and re-equipment of Armavir town’s hospital it will turn to provincial medical establishment. A. Ghahramian said that a relevant program has been worked out, according to which by the provisions of the state budget, new Ambulance cars will be acquired in 2009 and provided to all the provinces of the country. Last year 2,449 births have been registered in Armavir province and as of October 1, 2008 the number of births reached 2,273. The serious issue in the province continues to be school building. The governor of the province said that in 2007-2008 around 31 schools have been reconstructed in the province in 23 of them local heating system has been constructed. With the provision of the next year’s budget school reconstruction works will be carried out within the framework of 1 billion 400 million drams. The governor promised that by 2012 all the schools of the province will be reconstructed.
