YEREVAN, DECEMBER 18, ARMENPRESS:Leader of a small opposition party lamented today the absence of what he termed ‘political thought,’ and lack of established political dialogue. Hovhannes Hovhanesian, the chairman of a minor Liberal Progressive Party, told today he would like to see ideological clashes among different political forces and emergence of new ideas. “Armenia is part of the civilized world and part of Europe and it cannot be isolated from the rest of the world and this is why external forces should have their positive impact on domestic processes in Armenia,” he said. He said his party will participate in 2007 parliamentary elections and most likely in alliance with a like-minded force or forces. He said he would run for parliament from a single-mandate constituency in case the opposition decides to nominate candidates from all 41 majoritarian constituencies.-0- /39/
