20% OF ARMENIAN EGGS EXPORTED

YEREVAN, JANUARY 9, ARMENPRESS:Armenian agriculture ministry has said that some 400 million eggs were produced by Armenian poultry farms in Arzni, Lusakert, Yerevan, Jrarat, Shahumian, Gndevaz, Kaghtsrashen, by 20% more then in the previous year. Twenty percnet of the produced eggs was exported to Georgia. A senior official of Armenian agriculture ministry said that before 1998 150-170 million eggs had been imported to Armenia annually, whereas today this number decreased 15 times (now only 10 million eggs are imported into Armenia annually). Moreover, local eggs have higher quality and are fresher.
