A PROJECT ON WATER SEWARAGE IMPROVEMENT TO BE CARRIED OUT IN

GUMRI, VANADZOR, ARMAVIR AND MECAMOR GYUMRI, AUGUST 19, ARMENPRESS:The outgoing session of the Board of Directors of the German “MVV decon GmbH, MVV Ennergie” - the international operator of managing “Shirak Water Sewerage”, “Lori Water Sewerage” and “Nor Akunq” company and the Armenian “AEG Service” consortium took place today in Gyumri. The directors of “Shirak Water Sewerage”, “Lori Water Sewerage” and Armavir’s “Nor Akunq” CSJC, as well as responsible authorities of the sphere were present at the session. By presenting the two-week period of the Armenian-German consortium management, International General Director, Manager Alexander Rickhof noted that 3 years will be given for the coordinated reforms of the sphere, but a progress of works has already been marked in three territories – Shirak, Lori, Armavir. The manager-operator has undertaken a project on systemic reforms, as a result of which due to the investments a 24-hour water supply will be possible in Gyumri, Vanadzor, Armavir, Metsamor and in the neighboring settlements. “I was aware of the issues of the system earlier; 5 years ago we undertook this project aimed at bringing about an improvement in the exploitation of water sewerage system, but those works were not quite well-founded conditioned by poor financing. Already today we will be able to implement systemic reforms due to investment programs. At the end of the project, after 3 years the issue of water sewerage will have already been solved”, A. Rickhof noted at the briefing with journalists. The project is financed by the loan program of German KFW Bank. The bank will grant 3 million Euros to the operator for the management of the three companies. The consortium will provide management, exploitation and preservation services during the act of the contract. The contract has been signed up with a three-year term with a possibility of prolonging it for another year.
