Ararat Mirzoyan, Apostolos Tzitzikostas discuss mutually beneficial and practical cooperation

Armenia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade Ararat Mirzoyan met European Commissioner for Sustainable Transport and Tourism Apostolos Tzitzikostas in New York on the sidelines of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly.
The Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Trade said in a Facebook post.
“The interlocutors discussed mutually beneficial and practical cooperation within the framework of the Armenia-EU Connectivity Partnership as an important component of the Armenia-EU Strategic Partnership Agenda. The importance of Armenia’s integration into regional transport networks and the development of inclusive connectivity was emphasised, along with the active dynamics of discussions in this area.
“Initiatives aimed at the consistent development of cooperation in the fields of transport and tourism were also discussed,” the statement said.
The sides also addressed issues related to the implementation of the TRIPP project as an important component of connectivity initiatives covering a broader geographical area and Armenia’s Crossroads of Peace project.
Minister Mirzoyan and Commissioner Tzitzikostas exchanged views on cooperation between Armenia and the EU in the aviation sector.
