Strong Armenia faction MPs discuss TRIPP project with US Embassy Chargé d’Affaires in Armenia

Narek Karapetyan, leader of the Strong Armenia faction in the National Assembly, and faction member and Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Aram Vardevanyan met with David Allen, Chargé d’Affaires of the US Embassy in Armenia.

Citing an official statement from the Armenian National Assembly, issues related to Armenia-US cooperation and regional developments were discussed during the meeting.

Representatives of the Strong Armenia faction presented their views on the normalisation of Armenia-Azerbaijan relations and the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP) project.

The MPs expressed concern over certain ongoing democratic processes in Armenia.

The interlocutors stressed the importance of establishing lasting peace in the South Caucasus.
