Armenian Minister of Internal Affairs Arpine Sargsyan met on Monday during a visit to Georgia with Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed cooperation between the law enforcement agencies of the two countries, the Armenian ministry said in a press release.
It was emphasized that the agreement on combating crime signed between the Ministries of Internal Affairs of Armenia and Georgia provides a basis for strengthening and expanding the partnership. The joint programs implemented to combat drug trafficking, illegal migration and other types of crime were highlighted.
The possibilities for deepening the strategic partnership between Armenia and Georgia were discussed.
The ongoing processes in the region were also addressed.
Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze emphasized that Georgia firmly supports the strengthening of peace and stability in the South Caucasus.
