Armenia’s Investigative Committee Chairman meets with Interpol Secretary General

Armenia’s Investigative Committee Chairman Artur Poghosyan met with Interpol Secretary General Valdecy Urquiza during his official visit to China, on the sidelines of the 2026 Global Public Security Cooperation Forum.

The Investigative Committee said in a press release that the sides discussed strengthening joint efforts to combat transnational crime, locating persons wanted internationally, and improving the effectiveness of extradition processes.

Particular attention was paid to modern possibilities for the rapid and secure exchange of information between the institutions.

At the conclusion of the meeting, a number of agreements were reached on expanding cooperation and deepening legal cooperation.
