Armenian Investigative Committee, China’s Public Security Ministry sign MoU

The Armenian Investigative Committee and the Ministry of Public Security of China have signed a memorandum of understanding in Lianyungang.

Investigative Committee Chairman Artur Poghosyan also participated in the 2026 Conference of the Global Public Security Cooperation Forum in Lianyungang.

The Investigative Committee said in a press release that the agreement to sign the document had been reached a year earlier, during the official visit of the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Armenia to China, when Artur Poghosyan met with Minister of Public Security Wang Xiaohong.

By signing the memorandum, the parties aim to expand legal cooperation in combating transnational organized crime, provide mutual assistance in verifying information received about crimes and in the investigation of criminal proceedings, and exchange experience and information on investigation methodologies concerning terrorist, economic, information and communications technology-related, transnational organized, and other crimes posing a serious threat to society.

The document also aims to develop the professional capacities of employees through joint educational programs, training sessions, mutual visits, and staff exchanges at each other’s research and educational institutions, as well as by holding regular expert consultations and scientific and practical events on issues of mutual interest.

At the conclusion of the official visit, the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Armenia and the Minister of Public Security of China highly valued the dynamics of the partnership relations that have been established and expressed confidence that the practical implementation of the memorandum’s provisions will raise the effectiveness of cooperation between the law enforcement agencies of the two countries to a qualitatively new level.
