Andru Donalds, the “golden voice” and lead vocalist of Enigma, will perform at the Aram Khachaturian Concert Hall in Yerevan on November 21.
Accompanied by a string orchestra and children’s choir, the artist will perform Enigma hits as well as his solo works, creating an impressive and emotionally charged stage program.
The project created by German musician and producer Michael Cretu has brought together electronic music, ethnic motifs, choral passages and atmospheric sounds, creating its own distinctive musical language. Donalds’ vocals hold a special place in the project’s sound.
The Jamaican singer began his solo career in the 1990s, and in 1998 joined Enigma, beginning his collaboration with Michael Cretu. His vocals have featured on several of the project’s key albums and have become an integral part of their musical atmosphere.
During its active years, Enigma sold more than 70 million albums worldwide and received numerous platinum and gold awards. Their songs “Sadeness (Part I),” “Return to Innocence,” “Beyond the Invisible” and “Modern Crusaders” have become part of the history of world music.
At the same time, Donalds has continued his musical career as a solo artist. He gained international recognition with “Mishale,” “All Out of Love,” “Save Me Now” and other popular songs. His music has been featured in films and television projects.
