Armenia, UAE discuss economic cooperation and investment opportunities

Armenia’s Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan met with UAE Minister of Economy and Tourism Abdulla Bin Touq Al Marri in Dubai.

Gohar Abajyan, CEO of Enterprise Armenia, Acting Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of Armenia in the UAE Vardges Hovsepyan, Consul General of Armenia in Dubai Artak Avetisyan, and Economic Adviser to the Ambassador of Armenia to the UAE Hayk Mkhitaryan were also present at the meeting.

The Ministry of Economy said that the meeting discussed a broad agenda of Armenia-UAE economic cooperation, particularly the possibilities of establishing production and regional distribution centers in Armenia, developing joint logistics hubs, as well as organizing the processing of Armenian agricultural products and private-label production for UAE companies.

The prospects for cooperation in the production of green hydrogen and renewable energy were also addressed. Views were exchanged on deepening cooperation in the fields of tourism, hospitality, and investment.

Papoyan earlier took part in the AIM Congress 2026.
